Go Brewers!

Yesterday Larry and Kathy came down and took Jillian and I to a Brewers game. We had such a great time and the weather was perfect. Not to mention the Brew Crew had another win! They picked us up and we headed to the stadium. We had a bite to eat at TGIF and then headed to our seats. We sat up in the 300 level (Club Box level)and had great seats. We were in the shade the whole time, so we did not fry (sorry daddy!) Jason was there as well, but with work. So he came up to say hello. His seats were in the sun the whole time, he was a little warm!

After the game we had dinner at Mamma Mia's in West Allis and stopped at Gilles on the way home. We had a great day and to top it off Grandma and Grandpa had a sleepover so they could spend even more time with Jillian on Friday. They watched Jillian for a little while Friday morning while I painted at the church. I know she had such a great time and got two people's (Grandma and Grandpa's) undivided attention!

Thanks again for a wonderful day!

Happy 1st Father's Day Daddy!

Happy Daddies Day, Daddy!

This was Jason's first Father's Day and Jillian spoiled her daddy this year! We were lucky enough to have Jason's family out for the day to help us celebrate. Jason's brother Todd and his family came Saturday night and stayed over, and his dad and step-mom came out Sunday for a little cookout. It was a fun time and we celebrated the daddies!

We had such a good time, we wore daddy out!

I hope you had a great day daddy, I love you!

Out of the blue visits...

We love having last minute, out-of-the-blue visits...especially from Grandma's and Grandpa's that spoil little girls named Jillian! Larry and Kathy called us a week or so ago for an impromptu visit and dinner. They came up early afternoon, played with Jillian and stayed for dinner. It was a great afternoon and a nice time.

We walked to the park and enjoyed some swing time!

Even Grandma's and Grandpa's like to swing...

Grandma is always down on Jillian's level!

Chicago Fire!

A few weekends ago Jillian, Jason and I attended our first Fire this season with Grandma and Grandpa Murray. And of course...the weather was a little "ify". It rained pretty good on our drive down to Brideview, IL. It stopped as we loaded up into Grandma and Grandpa's car and got set up for a little tailgate fun. As we were getting settled and Jillian started her dinner...it started to rain! We quickly scrambled to put the tent up and keep us mostly dry. Jillian sat in her Bumbo with rain dripping on her head...finding it funny! Jillian, as usual, was so good and enjoyed her first Fire game. And to make the night even more fun, the Fire won!

Setting up...before the rain of course!

"Go Fire!"
Having a good time...Jillian, Grandma, Kelley, Grandpa

Tangelwood Ranch

This past weekend we celebrated my grandmother's (Jillian's Great Grandma) 75th birthday with a family weekend at Tangelwood Ranch in Mineral Point, WI. The ranch is set in the rolling hills of Mineral Point on 700+ acres. It was beautiful and a nice getaway. There was a little pond in the back, complete with a paddle boat and canoe. There were hiking trails along the creek which made for a nice little walk. There was a huge walk-around porch, with wooden swings and rockers. We spent a lot of time on the porch, Jillian wowed everyone with her mobile activity on the porch. Jason had to work so he stayed home. He sure missed a lot of fun! Here are some pictures of our weekend...

This is the back of the house, there was a steep hill we had to go up and down to get to things!

Here is Jillian and I on our walk.

Jillian and I snuck ahead to get an action walking shot!

Here is Darrell and Grandpa looking at the limestone along the creek.

Jillian got a little heavy, so Uncle Darrell took over Bjorn duty!
Here is the whole hiking group...

Here is a picture of the house up on a hill (sorry its so blurry).
Here is Zoey and Kylie getting ready for a paddle boat ride on Sunday, even though the weather was a little icky.

What a great weekend, we look forward to doing it again next year...hopefully!

Lake Geneva

Last week Meghan (my cousin) and her little guy, Bode, met in Lake Geneva for the afternoon. It was a beautiful day. Mid 70's, not too hot or cold! We walked around for a bit. They were having their farmers market that day, so we browsed around there. Then we wandered over to Popey's for lunch. After lunch we picked up or sand toys from the car and headed to the beach! The babies loved it! Meghan and I didn't bring suits for the babies, thinking it would be too cold. But that didn't stop Bode...he beelined it to the water! Jillian enjoyed the sand for awhile and then we wandered down to the water...which she equally enjoyed. It was a great day. Jillian was asleep before we even left Lake Geneva! It was a fun day and we look forward to more days like that this summer!

Here we are at lunch...I have a feeling these two are going to be great buddies!

Here is Bode making his way to the water...again!
Jillian is exploring the sand...she found it very interesting and edible!
We didn't get these two in one place very often, Bode is always on the go!

Memorial Day Weekend

We had such a busy Memorial Day weekend, but had so much fun. We ventured down to Dekalb Saturday afternoon and stayed all the way until Monday. Saturday I had a "Sex and the City" party at my good friend Kayte's new house. Just the girls, cocktails, good food and Sex! (Sex and the City 2 of course!) It was such a nice time and so great to get away for the night.

This is a picture of the group at Kayte's house (note the champaign toast!)

Jason stayed at my parents and played dad...this was the first night Jillian was put to bed without me nursing her to sleep, (could have been a nightmare!) BUT she did great! She went right down for him and slept through the night at my parents house. You know how it is when you are not in your own bed, I was expecting the worst!

Sunday we woke up and got ready for a bike ride...on the hottest day of the weekend! We drove into Geneva to ride along the river. It was a great day, just a little warm. Jillian did pretty well for the most part. She fussed for a little in the beginning, we stopped and fed her lunch then continued on our way. She fell asleep in the carrier for about an hour or so! When she woke up we stopped to have ice cream and a diaper change. We were almost back to the car, but Jillian had enough...and fussed the entire time back (probably about 20 minutes). Jason got through several versus of Baa Baa Black Sheep (for whatever reason, she seems to like that song).

Here is Jillian in her carrier...Pre-ride!

Jillian got a ride on Grandpa's shoulders after our ride...she was such a good girl!

When we got home we pretty much dumped Jillian in Uncle Kyle's baby pool (well its actually cousin Zack's, but Uncle Kyle blew it up). She was so sweaty and dirty from the bike ride. She enjoyed the pool for a little while and cooled off a bit. It was the end of a great day and Jillian went to bed easily again, sleeping through the night! After Jillian went to bed my mom, brother (Kyle), Jason and I ate pizza, watched the Fire game and played Ticket to Ride. A great, relaxing evening. (my dad was at the Fire game)
Jillian in the pool!

Jillian loves all the new things at Grandma and Grandpa's house!

Monday the family got together to celebrate Memorial Day. Uncle Shaun, Aunt Misty, cousins Zoey and Kylie came over. Grandma Grace also came over for the BBQ. It was a bit rainy, but we cozied up in the gazeboo and enjoyed a little wine spritzer! After an early dinner Jason, Jillian and I hit the road for home.
Here Jillian is playing with her cousin Zoey, we could never get Kylie to sit still enough for a picture!

Thanks for a great weekend!
