Spring Fever!

As you all probably have been enjoing this spring-like weather, the weather has been SO great...Jillian and I had to get outside! We played in the back yard for the first time (we are so excited that we have a backyard to play in now!). We don't have any outdoor toys yet, so we had to make do...

Jillian is exploring the grass.

We don't have a swing, but hung her Jump-N-Go in a tree...worked for the day!

Look Grandpa, she might be a goalie like you!

Don't worry Jillian, we will get some toys and an actual swing for you to play with outside!

The Towne Family

Our good friends the Towne's came to visit! It was a good time and always fun to play with the kiddos. Jackson entertained us with his contagious giggle and Josie wowed us with her 3 language vocabulary. After the kids went to bed, the grown-ups were able to have a few cocktails. We were even able to get in a few games of Sequence before heading to bed. Better luck next time team Jason and Margo! Here are some pictures of our fun weekend.

Oh Uncle Jack...you're too funny!

Thanks for coming over for the visit guys! We had a great time.

Jillian's first visit to Lake Michigan...a little chilly!

Saturday (March 6th), we took Jillian down to the lake for her first view of the water. We went to the Polar Plunge where Jason's co-worker Jim's band, Element 13 was playing. It was a sunny day, but still a little chilly. So we had to bundle her up and we all know how much Jillian loves her snow suit! Take a look at her reaction to the big Lake Michigan!

Jillian is thrilled to be there!

The fam!

A successful first visit, hopefully the next one is a little warmer and we can play in the sand!

Chilli Cookoff 2010!

A couple of weekends ago (Sunday, Feb. 28th to be exact) Anni and Randy had their Chili Cook off! What a great time we had and ate some really good chili as well. Our good friends Kayte and Brody came up with their little man, Mason. Kayte won the chili cook off with her traditional turkey chili recipe...yum! There were many of Anni's Marquette friends there cheering on the basketball team. One of her friends, Sarah Kahn, also won for her green chili recipe, which was also very good. It was a hard choice, so they shared the cook off title this year. We also were able to see our friends Amy and Tony. They are expecting a little BOY of their own this summer. So they are welcome to practice any time with Jillian (preferably on Friday or Saturday date nights!) I do have to say...Anni's chili was better than Randy's chili this year! Here are some action shots of the fun day.

First time in the water!

We took Jillian to the water park for the first time. An indoor water park...of course! Grandma Grace stayed over another night after the dedication and came along with us to Country Springs in Waukesha and we had a great time. Jillian LOVED the water. She wasn't feeling very well and had a crazy day on Sunday, so she easily could have been fussy at the water park. But she loved every moment, really enjoyed being in the water. Take a look at Jillian at the water park...

Splash, splash, splash...so much fun!
We had so much fun, it just tuckered her out!
