Wisconsin Dells
A few weeks ago (yes yes I am delayed in this post, life is busy!) we took a mid-week trip to the Dells. We stayed at the Wilderness and visited the indoor water parks. Prior to this trip we were SURE Jillian would have a BLAST! She loves the water and can't get enough of her bath. We thought we'd have to drag her out of the water kicking and screaming...well not quite! She didn't freak out in the water, was just very hesitant and didn't stay in too long each time. She was actually more interested in all the people, splashing and noise that was going on around her. Even though we were at the water park on Thursday it was still very busy and we think Jillian was a little intimidated by all the people splashing, laughing and playing in the water. Not to mention the 100 gallon bucket that dumps every minute or so with a loud clanging bell to let you know it is going to go! She was still a very good girl, slept awesome in the hotel and overall it was a pleasant trip. Maybe in a few more months and some playing in the pools around home will help her ease into the water park world! Here are some photos from out trip.
This was the first of three water parks we visited. The air was very warm and humid (so pardon my frizzy, curley hair in any pictures you may see!) but the water was a little cool, I think we needed to spend more time in it to warm up to it.
After a couple hours playing we ran back to our room to get cleaned up and get some dinner. Staying on a resort has its perks, like all the restaurants being there so you don"t have to leave. Down side...we ate a lot of french fries!
After dinner we decided to explore a little and found a game room. The nice thing is that with Jillian's 30 second attention span we didn't have to spend any money for her to enjoy the games. The lights and music was enough!
Friday we gotup, had breakfast, packed up and checked out then headed to the third water park for the day!
All in all it was a good trip and we will try the Dells again for sure...maybe when Jillian is a little older!

We ARE still alive...
I know, I know...I am VERY delayed in getting a new post up. I have new pictures ready to go, just need the time. I have not forgotten you all!

Blizzard Snow Day!
With this record breaking storm...we had a snow day, everyone had one! Although Jason spent a better part of the morning outside digging us out, we did venture outside later in the day. Here is what we encountered...
The snow drift on the side of the house was pretty big, so Jason didn't bother to waste his shoveling energy on it when we don't use that side of the house too often. Then we saw Jillian's little slide almost buried...sad=( Working our way to the back of the house the snow drift was almost all the way up to the window on the garage and the the snow drift in the gate was almost as tall as me!
The alley was the worst part of it...it doesn't get plowed by the city so we have to shovel it out! The snow drifts back there where huge because there was no where for the snow to go. But this was very important to get dug out, otherwise we wouldn't be able to get out to the street.
We did have 54 MPH winds and thankfully this one shingle is the only "damage" that was done to the house (that we know of at this time).
BUT despite the seriousness of the storm and the backache Jason received from all the shoveling, we did take Jillian out to enjoy the snow!

We don't have a sled yet (yes I know we need to get one), so we tried the wagon. I don't think Jillian liked that very much because from what she remembers of her wagon is was always warm when we used it!

Broderick!
A few weeks ago Jillian had her very good friend Broderick over for an all day play date! His mommy had things to do so we were able to have him over ALL DAY, very exciting! He was a great friend and was very good for me. Here is our day in photos (yes, I was a little picture happy, they were just soooo cute together!).
We started in the front room...and yes Jillian still has her PJs on!
Jillian finally got dressed and we moved on to the tunnel!
As I was getting lunch ready I turned on Toy Story and these two made themselves comfortable!

For a change of scenery we ventured downstairs for a little pink race car action and the rice table.
